Restrictions for Puskás's Funeral Early as Friday

Traffic will be restricted in Budapest due to preparations for Puskás's
funeral Friday evening and the funeral procession Saturday afternoon and
evening.
For the
occasion of Ferenc Puskás's funeral, the Budapest Police Department will
enforce traffic restrictions, so the farewell ceremony for Ferenc Puskás
can be carried out without disturbance.
Between 6 and 10 p.m. on Friday, cars may not stop along Dohány Street,
Dózsa György Road, Stefénia Avenue, and Hercegprimás Street, as well as a
section of Sas Street, among others. Streets bordering Saint Stephen's
Basilica to the north and to the south will also be closed, as well as one
section of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Road, Andrássy Avenue between Oktogon and
Bajcsy-Zsilinszky, Olaf Palme Promenade, and Állatkerti Boulevard.
One part or another of the following route between Ferenc Puskás Stadium
and Saint Stephen's Basilica will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic
from 5 p.m. on Friday until 8 p.m. on Saturday: Istvánmezei Road, Dózsa
György Road, Heroes' Square, Andrássy Avenue, and Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Road.
